Danny Lundy has been the Chair of the Libertarian Party of Morgan County since he was first elected in 2019. Prior to that, he was a founding member and Treasurer of the Libertarian Party of Morgan County when it was affiliated in 2016.

He ran for Brown Township Board in 2018 campaigning on Transparency, Accessibility, and Accountability for our local government. During that campaign he began live streaming many local meetings. Several local government agencies now live stream their meetings or post them online for public viewing. Later that same year he was appointed to the Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals by the Mooresville Town Council.

In 2019 the Mooresville Town Council appointed him to the Mooresville Metropolitan Police Commission. During his time on the Police commission Danny conducted an employee survey to better understand the needs of officers and support staff. He  worked with fellow board members to implemented an Officer Recognition program and also put together an Incentive Pay Proposal that was ultimately considered by the Town Council. During his time on the Police Commission they also developed a proper, fair, and independent hiring process to replace Chief Danny Allen after his retirement.

Awards:

In 2019 Danny was awarded the Phil Miller Candidate of the Year Award as well as the Ken Bisson Outreach Award at the Libertarian Party of Indiana State Convention.

In 2020 he was awarded the Susan Bell Officeholder of the Year Award and the Libertarian Party of Morgan County was awarded the Bill Bean County Affiliate of the Year Award for their work in his first year as Chair.

In 2021 he was awarded the Dr. Barbara Bourland Light of Liberty Award and the Libertarian Party of Morgan County was  again recognized with the Bill Bean County Affiliate of the Year Award.

By trade Danny is a Data Analyst and has worked for his current employer for over 17 years. He has lived in Mooresville nearly his entire life and raised his family there.
